Aerophone GO Update Procedure (iOS)
INTRODUCTION
Update the Aerophone GO requires the dedicated smartphone app,
Aerophone GO Plus, (hereafter called the “dedicated app”). Before you start, download the dedicated app to your smartphone.
* To avoid losing power to the Aerophone GO during the update, connect a USB AC adapter ( Power Select Switch: USB) or use fully charged rechargeable Ni-MH (AA) batteries ( Power Select Switch: BATTERY).
* Check the remaining battery power on your smartphone. If the batteries are low, use a USB AC adaptor to supply power.

- Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the power LED to blink while using the USB AC adapter.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes caused a beep sound when the octave key and performance key were pressed when changing settings.

Bug Fixes
The following bugs were fixed.
- When the keys are operated, the change in pitch due to the bite control is cleared.
- When you breathe in, the volume drops momentarily.

- This corrects the problem of the Aerophone GO returning to its default values when the power is turned off after changing settings on the Aerophone GO.
UPDATE PROCEDURE
*DO NOT turn off the power to the Aerophone GO and your smartphone while the update is in progress.
Step 01: Update "Aerophone GO Plus" (hereinafter referred to as "the dedicated app") to the latest version.
Updating the Aerophone GO requires the latest version of the dedicated app.
Follow the steps below to check the dedicated app is up-to-date.
- Access Aerophone GO Plus.
- If the download icon appears as "UPDATE", tap the icon to update to the latest version.
* If it appears as "OPEN", the latest version has been installed.
* If it appears as "GET", then download the dedicated app. The latest version will be available.
Step 02: Connect to Aerophone GO Plus for iOS
- Place a smartphone on which the dedicated app is installed near the Aerophone GO.
- Set the Aerophone GO's [
] switch to the
position.
The Bluetooth LED (blue) blinks.
- In your smartphone's settings, turn Bluetooth on.
* Even if the model name "AE-05" is shown in the "Available devices" list, don't tap it.
- Start the dedicated app.
- If the Aerophone GO has ever connected to the dedicated app, the "Connected to AE-05" message appears, and the Bluetooth LED (blue) lights up.
* If the "SELECT MIDI" screen appears, tap "AE-05" to connect. When it turns "Connected", then tap "Back".
- When the message "Connected to AE-05" appears, tap "OK".

* If you cannot make a connection to the dedicated application, please follow the steps below.
- Tap "Connecting with Aerophone GO".
- Tap "AE-05" to make the connection.
*Depending on your circumstances, "AE-05" may be shown as "AE-05 1" or another name.
- When a message appears prompting for Bluetooth pairing, tap "Yes" or else to pair.
*The indication and operation may vary depending on your smartphone.
- The "Connected to Aerophone GO" message appears, and the Bluetooth LED (blue) lights up.
Step 03: Check whether the updater is present.
Automatically checks for updates when you connect the Aerophone GO to the dedicated app.
If the message "There is a new version of Aerophone GO system software. Would you like to update now?" appears, tap "
OK" and follow "Step 04: How to update" to update.
Step 04: Update method
- Read the "Roland Software License Agreement*" and tap the "I AGREE" checkbox that appears at the very bottom part.
*The title may vary depending on your region.
- Tap "Update".
Aerophone GO starts updating.
* If the "SELECT MIDI" screen appears, tap "AE-05" to connect. When it turns "Connected", then tap "Back".
* It takes about 2 minutes to complete the update.
- When you see "Update finished, Please restart Aerophone GO", tap "Close".
- Turn the Aerophone go off and then on again.
- Make sure that Aerophone GO has updated to the latest version.
1. Tap "SYSTEM" on the home screen of the dedicated app.
2. Check the version shown in the Version field.
