Artist Bio
As a keyboardist, programmer, musical director, and arranger, Eugene “Man-Man” Roberts is a sought-after musician. His work with star performers like John Legend, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Ro James, and many more sets the musical bar high for sound quality, musicianship, and versatility. From the very start, Eugene has been a devotee of Roland gear, so much so that his bandmates affectionately refer to him as “Mr. Roland” (and sometimes “The Mayor”). The newest gear additions to his touring rig with John Legend include the RD-2000, the JUPITER-80, and the SYSTEM-8—a combination that arms Man-Man with power, precision, a creative arsenal of the highest quality sounds, and innovative yet practical interface options.

“The RD-2000 feels and sounds incredible. There are endless possibilities with this board, and the V-Piano engine takes the polyphony to another level!”
Eugene “Man-Man” Roberts on the JUPITER-80
“I started using the JUPITER-80 as soon as it was ready, and I’ve not taken it out my rig yet. It’s so well rounded that I can use it as a main board or an aux board.”
Eugene “Man-Man” Roberts on the SYSTEM-8
“The SYSTEM-8 is one of my new favorite secret weapons. It has everything I need from a synth—the JUNO-106, the JUPITER-8, and the SYSTEM-1. I mean, need I say more?”
