Los Angeles, CA, March 7, 2011—The world’s motion picture elite recently gathered at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, CA, to celebrate the 83rd annual Academy Awards® ceremony. Onstage with the evenings presenters and winners was the new flagship of Roland’s V-Piano series the V-Piano Grand, making its first U.S. television debut. The V-Piano Grand was the centerpiece of the Oscars® 50+ piece orchestra conducted by William Ross. Performing on the V-Piano Grand was Tom Ranier who can be seen regularly performing on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars.
This year’s Academy Awards was highlighted with a number of musical performances that showcased the V-Piano Grand, including flashbacks of previous award-winning films, performances of this year’s nominees for Best Songs, and a musical tribute sung by Celine Dion.
