Ayo Oyerinde Synth Rig

Artist Bio

When the stars need a session musician, Ayo Oyerinde is the man they have on speed-dial. Raised in Hackney, East London, Ayo’s talent was evident from early days mixing UK garage with school friends, but it’s his flair for the piano and keyboards that has fired him to the top of the session world over the last 16 years. Ayo’s soulful touch and adaptable style have seen him work with major artists including Jessie J, Tinie Tempah, Rebecca Ferguson and Duffy, and while each gig requires him to master a new genre and recreate a different album, Ayo rises to the challenge with a rig including his Roland RD-800 stage piano and JD-XA crossover synth. No wonder his nickname is ‘Ayce’.

JD-XA Testimonial

"I now use this on the road with Jessie J and made the switch from the Virus to use it and honestly, the sound is different but no less than the virus, which is great! I was able to create all the tones and sounds I needed and it was much easier to program. The biggest thing that stands out for me with this synth is the depth and ease you can program with, you can really break a sound you want down to the smallest increments and tweak. There are a good range of sounds in it and they are all big and fat too. Great addition to my setup”

RD-800 Testimonial

"I switched to this keyboard from the RD700sx, with much success. It is a different sound than the RD700sx, the tones are warmer and fatter in places. The sound really worked for me and sat very well in the mix. The pianos are great and there is a world of possibility wth there sound, which is as realistic as they come! The live sets are a massive improvement from earlier models and a big plus as you have more than you would ever need available and further more can save each set in the memory so you can just load up the set for whichever gig you are doing.”
