Acoustic #1
This kit is based on the first preset in the TD-50X module. The bird’s eye maple toms, stainless-steel snare, and punchy 22-inch kick represent the module’s sonic character, delivering a warm, open sound with natural ambience.

Pure Wood
Maple kick and toms and a cherry-wood snare. Close mic placement provides a bright and open sound.

Piccolo Snap
A piccolo snare drum delivers a distinctive high snap with ringing overtones, complemented by open-sounding maple toms for a versatile and funky studio sound.

Acoustic Jam
This studio recording kit is a tighter version of Acoustic #1, with the toms tuned lower for a fatter sound.

Piccolo DnB
Inspired by the Organic DnB preset in the TD-50X, this hybrid kit is perfect for fast drum and bass playing. It combines electronic sounds, a classic piccolo snare, and high-pitched acoustic drums.

Tight Funk
An updated kit inspired by the Funk Tight preset in the TD-50X.

Acoustic #2
This kit is based on Acoustic #1, with lower-tuned drums and minimal ambience for a raw, dry sound.

About V-Drums Instrument Expansions

V-Drums Instrument Expansions allow you to add new sounds to the V71 module, including complete multi-sampled acoustic drum sets, vintage and modern electronic sounds, and more. Each title provides finely tuned kits that are ready to play with no adjustment necessary. You can freely mix and match drums with the module’s onboard sound library and other installed expansions to create customized kits. It’s also possible to use the module’s deep V-Edit tools to personalize sounds to your liking.

V-Drums Instrument Expansion titles are available with Roland Cloud Ultimate or Pro memberships or a Lifetime Key purchase. Use the Roland Cloud Connect app on your mobile device to wirelessly download a collection directly to the V71 module. Or open Roland Cloud Manager on your computer to download the installer, then transfer it to an SD card for installation via the module’s card slot.
