De Roland SYSTEM-8 is een synth-krachtpatser met drie oscillators per voice, multimode filtering, talloze modulatiemogelijkheden, en weelderige effecten. Klassiek opgeleid

De synthesizerarchitectuur van de SYSTEM-8 is gebaseerd op jarenlang diepgravend onderzoek en ontwikkeling - en bevat authentieke modellen op circuitniveau van klassieke Roland-oscillatoren, -filters en -effecten. Hij bevat ook legendarische oscillatortypes van derden, plus de beroemde JUPITER- en JUNO-filterdesigns voor super-authentieke vintage sounds.

Vintage voorbij

De SYSTEM-8 levert ook moderne geluiden, met digitale en analoge oscillatoren in verschillende smaken, plus golfvormen zoals SuperSaw, FM en meer. Naast de klassieke filtermodellen is er ook een geheel nieuwe VCF, en zijn er recentere designs zoals de unieke formant, harmonische en side-band filters. De SYSTEM-8 is ongeëvenaard in zijn veelzijdigheid. Hij klinkt van glazig naar grommend, of van tokkelend naar pompend, via slechts enkele tweaks aan de bedieningsknoppen.

Hardware-integratie

De mogelijkheid om de Roland SYSTEM-8-softwaresynthesizer te combineren met zijn hardwareversie is voor ervaren synthesizergebruikers een krachtige troef. Sound designers zullen houden van de mogelijkheid om geluiden te spelen en vorm te geven via een aanslaggevoelig klavier en speciale besturingselementen. Live-artiesten zullen het op prijs stellen om patches uit te kunnen wisselen met de hardware, en zo computervrij het podium te betreden.
