The versatile DW Collector’s Series SSC Maple kit features 100 percent maple shells hand-selected by John Good, the key figure behind DW’s drum sound. These shells are constructed with John’s unique SSC (Specialized Shell Configuration) design approach, offering the lowest natural fundamental pitch in the Collector’s Series lineup. The result is a thick, punchy attack with balanced resonance, providing warm tones that sit naturally in any mix.

Along with a Collector’s Series SSC Maple snare, this kit also includes a sharp-sounding DW Black Nickel Over Brass snare for a tonal variation.

About V-Drums Instrument Expansions

V-Drums Instrument Expansions allow you to add new sounds to the V71, V51, and V31 modules, including complete multi-sampled acoustic drum sets, vintage and modern electronic sounds, and more. Each title provides finely tuned kits that are ready to play with no adjustment necessary. You can freely mix and match drums with the module’s onboard sound library and other installed expansions to create customized kits. It’s also possible to use the module’s deep V-Edit tools to personalize sounds to your liking.

V-Drums Instrument Expansion titles are available with Roland Cloud Ultimate or Pro memberships or a Lifetime Key purchase. Use the Roland Cloud Connect app on your mobile device to wirelessly download a collection directly to the module. Or open Roland Cloud Manager on your computer to download the installer, then transfer it to an SD card for installation via the module’s card slot.
