Fair Business Practices
We at Roland believe that, in order to be successful in both the development of the entire society and sustainable business growth at the same time, it is essential that the industry and companies engaged in musical and video culture develop and flourish. Because of this, we are striving for coexisting and competing with other companies in the same line of business in a sound form that is benefitable to customers and, at the same time, doing fair trade which enable us to flourish with the business partners.
In addition, we are targeting at forming the structure in which we can provide customers with the best experience of purchasing, by cooperating with our dealers. We are also making effort to reinforce supply chain management, targeting at realizing a supply system that enables us to provide customers the products and services they want without delay, through strengthening the relationship with the suppliers.
Strengthening the Relationship with our Suppliers
Based on the relationship of confidence with our suppliers, we are promoting fair trade taking into consideration of “QCD” (Quality, Cost, Delivery) plus matters concerning environment.
We are regularly holding supplier conferences, for the purpose of explaining our business strategy together with our policy for procurement and manufacture, and ask them for cooperation in their implementation. At the same time, we place emphasis on regular visits and communication at management level, to construct strong and friendly relationships and to build up sustainable supply chains.

Protection of the Workers in the Supply Chains
Protection of workers at manufacturing bases
In addition to the domestic plants in Japan, we possess plants in China and Malaysia to produce our products. In China, we hold labor-management discussions with the labor union to learn employees' opinions on their work environment or conditions, in an attempt to construct a sound relationship. While the Malaysian factory does not have a labor union, we have set a “suggestion box” to listen to the opinions of all employees including dispatched workers, and we are positive in sending information on the Group's policy to all employees so that we will be able to share the same targets and recognition. In addition, as a number of dispatched workers of foreign nationality are engaging in production in the Malaysian plant, we are trying to have close communication with the staff service companies to positively engage in improvement of the work environment.
Prohibition of forced labor and child labor
In the business activities we are developing in various countries, we respect the basic human rights and promote the development of an appropriate working environment. We are striving to comply with all applicable laws, regulations and labor standards.
While we have not been aware of the occurrence of problems with regard to child labor or forced labor, we will establish a system that can voluntarily confirm the absence of the forced labor or child labor, not only in our company but in contract manufacturers and the entire supply chain.
Dealing with Conflict Minerals
In the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its surrounding resource-rich countries in Africa, armed groups and national military forces are making cause of conflicts and committing inhumane acts in order to use the interests of minerals as funds for their activities. We strive to prevent using of the conflict minerals, Tantalum, Tin, Tungsten and Gold etc. from bringing a money source and benefit to the parties violating Human Rights.
