XPS-60 System Program ( Ver.1.10 ) How to tell the version Please check the version of the system working on your XPS-60 downloading the archive file. Press [ MENU ] button to open the MENU screen. Move the cursor to "INFORMATION" and press the [ ENTER ] button. Displays the system program version. Update history [Ver.1.10] Aug 2025 Additional functions The "XPS Tone Loader" dedicated app is now supported. * For details, refer to the [XPS Tone Loader]. A Keyboard Sw Group function has been added. * For details on the specifications and operations, refer to the [XPS-60 Reference Manual ]. The following functions have been added under MENU > UTILITY. EXPANSION: This lets you install World Expansions. WAVE MEMORY INFO: This lets you check memory usage. * For details on the specifications and operations, refer to the [XPS-60 Reference Manual ]. "ARP SW" and "CHORD MEM" settings have been added to the Hold Pedal Function and Control Pedal Function parameters. "Metronome 1" and "Metronome 2" settings have been added to the Rhythm Pattern. Functionality improvements Behavior has been modified so that keyboard positions with Keyboard Range Lower set to "Upper" remain unchanged when transpose or octave shift values are altered. The [TEMPO] button now flashes in sync with the currently set tempo (This can be disabled via settings.). Functionality improvements The stability of operation when switching between SCENEs has been improved. Improved sound retrieval by improving the behavior when you press the Category buttons multiple times when selecting a SCENE or TONE. The behavior when you press the [WORLD] button when selecting a TONE has been improved to improve sound retrieval. The way the Scene number and list of WAVE Expansion tones are displayed has been changed to improve the distinguishability of tones. When using the DAW CTRL function, the function to return the track playback position to the beginning by pressing [shift] + pad [1] has been added. Bug fixes The Half-Damper function does not work when the Hold Pedal is connected. The Audio Port name shown on the PC when connected to a PC has been fixed. Minor bugs have been fixed. What you will need to update your unit XPS-60 USB flash drive * The USB flash drive need to be formatted on a XPS-60. Computer (Windows or Mac) equipped with a USB port compliant with USB 2.0 or USB 3.0. Caution when performing the update This program is exclusively for the XPS-60. Never attempt to use it with any other product. We regret that we are unable to answer questions regarding the update procedure using this system program. Please perform the update responsibly, following the directions given in this document. Downloading and unarchiving the compressed file Read the software license agreement at the bottom of the screen and select the "I agree" check box. Click the "Download File" button to download the system program (xps60_sys_v110.zip). Unarchive the downloaded file. Windows: Right-click the file and select "Extract All," then click "Extract". Mac: Double-click the file to unzip it. XPS60_UPA_up.BIN inside the expanded folder is the system program. Procedure for the update [Caution] You must not rename the extracted file. Never turn off the unit power while the update is in progress. Doing so may cause malfunction. If such malfunction occurs, charged repairs may be necessary. You will need to contact Roland service center near you if this occurs. Please update your unit according to the following procedure. Connect the USB Memory to the USB MEMORY port. Hold down the [ WRITE ] button and turn on the power. The message " Updater... " appears on the display, and the update operation starts. * Continue to hold down the [ WRITE ] button until " Updater... " appears on the display. When the message " Please power off " appears, the update operation has finished. * The update operation takes about 4 minutes. Press the power button to turn off the power. Detach the USB Memory from the XPS-60. This completes the update operation. The new system program runs at the next startup. Follow the procedure for verifying the version to verify that the version has been updated. But you may permanently transfer the SOFTWARE and accompanying printed materials provided you retain no copies of the Software and recipient agrees to the terms of this License Agreement. If the SOFTWARE has been updated or upgraded, any transfer of the SOFTWARE must include the most recent update and all prior versions. (c) If this SOFTWARE contains multiple templates of media (such as floppy disks and CD-ROM) and these media contain the same software, you may use only the one form of media that is appropriate for your computer. You shall not use the remaining form(s) of media on another computer. (d) You may not use the Software from multiple locations of a multi-user or networked system at any time. 3.2 Open source software and other third party software (a) The SOFTWARE may use open source software and other third party software (herein referred to as "OSS, etc.").
