Right to repair
Roland Europe Group recycle the components of our products in line with all applicable EU laws.
Due to health and safety reasons, we do not encourage customers to undertake electrical repairs for themselves. In addition, as previously stated, this would invalidate the warranty.
Accessing our Repair Service:
- To exercise your rights under our warranty, you must either return your product to your official Roland/Boss or V-MODA Dealer with proof of purchase (sales receipt) and a clear description of the fault. Alternatively, please contact us via your Backstage account and we will advise on the easiest way to get your product repaired.
- For pianos eligible for an onsite repair, please contact Roland Europe Group Limited directly through your Backstage account. Our product support team will assess the fault and will then arrange for an authorised service engineer to visit your home and carry out the repair onsite, if necessary. Timescales are subject to availability of spare parts.
- For all other products, these will be delivered to a regional Roland office, or another designated service centre for repair.
- Once the repair is completed, the product will be returned to the sender.
- If you purchased your product from Amazon, please contact Amazon directly.
- We strongly recommend that you ensure that the product is well protected during transportation and boxed against any damage. If the product arrives damaged through insufficient packaging, this could delay the repair significantly.
- Please use the product’s original packaging where possible. If this is not available, the following measures should be taken:
- Outer carton
Please ensure that the outer carton is sufficiently large to accommodate not only the product, but also approximately 50 mm thickness of protective material (e.g. bubble wrap) around the entire unit. Please ensure the outer carton is sealed.
- Attached mains plug
Unless specifically requested, please do not package the power supply for your product. If we do require the power supply, please ensure this is sufficiently wrapped with approximately 30mm of protective material. This will help to prevent the plug from being damaged and, more importantly, prevent the plug from damaging the unit. Never position the mains plug between the product and outer box. Wrap it as described above and place it on top of the unit in such a way as to prevent it from damaging the product.
- Hard case
When returning an item in a hard case, we strongly recommend the use of cable ties to secure the case. However, if preferred you may wish to use a numeric lock. If this is the case, please ensure that you let us know the numeric code.
- Roland/Boss and V-MODA will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace your product at no charge if the fault is reported within the warranty period. In the event that we replace your product, this warranty continues from the original date of purchase and not from the date of the replacement.
- Roland/Boss and V-MODA do not offer the option of a loan or temporary replacement whilst the product is with us for repair. If your product is relied upon in a professional capacity, we strongly recommend having a contingency in place (i.e. a backup or second unit) as Roland Europe Group Ltd/Boss and V-MODA will not be held liable for any financial loss.
- This warranty relates solely to the product. Roland Europe Group Limited excludes any and all liability for any incidental or consequential loss or damages (direct or indirect), howsoever incurred, arising from the malfunction or failure of any of its products or services.
