In October 2010, after 134 years producing beloved handcrafted accordions, this historical company closed their doors forever in Stradella, Italy. However, the sound of Dallapé instruments is still alive thanks to an agreement between the company and Roland, the leading digital accordion manufacturer. THE DALLAPÉ SOUND LIVES ON Accordionists all over the world can enjoy the full range of Dallape’ accordion sounds in their performances. The sounds from the Dallape’ production include the first accordion prototype made in 1871, the legendary “Liturgica” model incorporating the voices of a real pipe organ (even the 32’) that Giuseppe Dallapé gave as a present to the Pope St. Pio XII in 1942, the special instrument called “Centenario” going back to 1976 and many others down to the last one made in 2010. HEAR HOW V-ACCORDIONS RECREATE THE DALLAPÉ SOUND Dallapé’s historical models such as the 1871, Liturgica, and many others displayed at the Accordion Museum in Stradella can now be played again by all accordionists and lovers of such epoch-making instruments.
