Roland (UK) Ltd 10 Year Warranty Policy

ROLAND 10 YEAR WARRANTY (UK)

Roland digital pianos are built to last. Our commitment to quality means that we are confident to guarantee your piano to be free from defects in workmanship or materials for a period of 10 years from the date of the original purchase. This warranty is supplementary to your statutory legal rights.

General

(a) This warranty is offered free of charge by Roland (UK) Ltd with registered offices at Atlantic Close, Swansea, SA7 9FJ.

(b) This warranty is valid against any of the following models of Roland piano, HP605, HP603, HP504, HP506, HP508, HPi-50e, LX-15e, LX-7 and LX-17, purchased after 1st December 2014 and registered within 12 months of purchase.

This warranty is also valid against any of the following models of Roland piano, DP603, GP607 and KF-10, purchased after 1st January 2016 and registered within 12 months of purchase.

The standard warranty period is 1 year from date of purchase. By registering your piano within 12 months of the invoice date, you will receive an additional 9 years’ warranty which will bring the total period of coverage to 10 years from the date of invoice.
When you register your Roland piano for warranty with Roland (UK) Ltd, you must provide purchase information and the serial number of your Roland piano. The Roland piano should have been sourced new from a Roland Authorised Dealer. You will then be issued with a unique registered user number, which you can use to contact our customer service team, access our free technical support service, or return your Roland piano for repair.

(c) This warranty is valid only for purchases made from an authorised dealer of Roland (UK) Ltd and Eire. The warranty is non-transferable, is not valid for products purchased outside of the UK or for products purchased from a dealer that is not accredited by Roland (UK) Ltd.

(d) In order to make use of the warranty, you should present the product along with proof of purchase (invoice, receipt), your Roland User Number and a clear description of the problem TO THE DEALER from whom you purchased the product. Your dealer may get permission from Roland (UK) Ltd to have the product checked by his own technical staff. If not, the product will be sent to an accredited service partner or to Roland (UK) Ltd and will afterwards be returned to the dealer.

(e) Roland (UK) Ltd will, at its sole option, repair or replace any components without cost to the end user. Roland (UK) Ltd at its sole option, may choose to replace with a similar piano of a similar age and condition or provide compensation for the remaining years of the warranty. A similar piano of a similar age will be offered with a warranty equal to the remaining period of the original warranty at the point of claim. Parts that are repaired or replaced under warranty will be offered with a warranty equal to the remaining period of the original warranty at the point of claim.

This 10 year warranty does not apply:

(a) To cosmetic or structural damage to the piano cabinet due to changes in temperature, humidity, exposure to the sun, fire or moisture (full guidance on using and storing the piano safely can be found in the owners manual).

(b) To damage, corrosion or rusting of any hardware components caused by humidity, temperature or exposure to moisture (full guidance on using and storing the piano safely can be found in the owners manual).

(c) To damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, liquid contact, fire, moisture, body salts and acids of perspiration, or other external cause.

(d) To defects or discolouration of any part of the instrument including keys, pedals, controls and switches caused by normal wear and tear, moisture, body salts and acids of perspiration.

(e) To damage caused by use with another product.

(f) To damage caused by customisation or modification performed by anyone who is not a representative of Roland or an Authorised Roland Service Centre.

(g) To damage caused by service (including upgrades) performed by anyone who is not a representative of Roland or an Authorised Roland Service Centre.

(h) When the serial number is missing, altered or has been tampered with.
