One the biggest cross-over success stories of recent years, Alt-J’s off-kilter brand of folk connects with mainstream audiences on both sides of the Atlantic. Their woozy debut, An Awesome Wave, was released in 2012 and went on to win the Mercury Prize, catapulting them into the limelight.

We met Alt J at a London rehearsal room a few years back. Already a clear vision of what their album was going to be before the Mercury prize storm hot town. After an interview and a large pedal order, we then got asked by drummer Thom what the best kit was to practice in small dressing rooms before a gig. TD-4KP fit the bill nicely. Lovely lads who don’t compromise their art for anything. You can’t ask for more than that.
