A self-made composer, musical director, and drummer, Kaz Rodriguez is one of the outstanding musicians of the modern era. His drum-along albums have generated a strong following and healthy respect from other pro drummers, and some of the best-known players on the planet regularly perform to his tracks. In his current work as the touring drummer for Josh Groban, Kaz uses his vast production experience to combine electronic and acoustic drum sounds for spectacular live performances.

The concept behind Kaz’s three TD-17 artist kits is a little different from others in the series. Using his composing skills, he’s created melodic loops and song parts and assigned them to various pads. You can be a remixer as you play, performing drum grooves while triggering song parts for a uniquely creative experience. These fun and engaging kits combine tweaked internal sounds with self-produced audio samples from Kaz.

Included Kits

Kanobo Kit
The electronic music of Bonobo inspired this kit. As you play along with the loops, the heavy kit compression gives the effect of performing on a studio track—with you in the musical director’s seat.

House Kit
This kit features mellow house basslines and melodies combined with thumping, four-on-the-floor drums. The melodic parts are added to the crash and ride cymbals, allowing you to remix your own house track as you perform.

Neo Kit
This kit challenges your inner clock and helps dial in your song-playing form without the need for a click or metronome. The super laid-back loops immerse you in the groove and keep you focused on supporting the music.
