The DW Collector’s Series Pure Purpleheart kit features drums made from the densest tonewood used by DW. Named for its vibrant and colorful hue, purpleheart is even more dense than oak and delivers ample attack and punch. These drums offer a clean and focused tone with tight midrange and balanced resonance, making them ideal for everything from heavy rock to country and pop. The collection also includes a second snare with a bamboo shell for a bright, heavy sound.

About V-Drums Instrument Expansions

V-Drums Instrument Expansions allow you to add new sounds to the V71 module, including complete multi-sampled acoustic drum sets, vintage and modern electronic sounds, and more. Each title provides finely tuned kits that are ready to play with no adjustment necessary. You can freely mix and match drums with the module’s onboard sound library and other installed expansions to create customized kits. It’s also possible to use the module’s deep V-Edit tools to personalize sounds to your liking.

V-Drums Instrument Expansion titles are available with Roland Cloud Ultimate or Pro memberships or a Lifetime Key purchase. Use the Roland Cloud Connect app on your mobile device to wirelessly download a collection directly to the V71 module. Or open Roland Cloud Manager on your computer to download the installer, then transfer it to an SD card for installation via the module’s card slot.
