Koen Herfst is one of the most energetic and versatile drummers in the Netherlands, voted “Best Hard Rock Drummer of Benelux” six years in a row. Koen is a multi-instrumentalist and composer, and he’s toured and performed with many top-tier artists from Holland and around the world. As a longtime V-Drums user and recording studio owner, he knows how to dial in the sounds he needs from within the module.

Koen’s TD-17 artist kits feature sounds crafted by layering custom samples with the module’s internal sounds. Ready for loading directly into the preset locations in your TD-17 sound module, these powerful kits are a great way to expand your arsenal of dark and heavy drum sounds.

Included Kits

Akoenstick
This kit recreates Koen’s favorite acoustic drums, custom-tuned in the module with his studio engineering skills.

Voodoo Chambers
This kit features the original kick sample from “Violence of Your Shapes” by Koen’s band Voodoo Chambers for a powerful and punchy sound. Check out the low-pitched and dark-sounding cymbals too!

Drum Demons
Designed for soloing with ostinatos, this kit consists of percussion instruments only. Inspired by Drum Demons—the drum and percussion group that features Koen, Cesar Zuiderwijk of Golden Earring, and many other great Dutch drummers—it’s sure to test your rhythmic creativity and deliver that powerful drumline feel.
