P-6 Sample Data / Patterns
When you perform a "Factory Reset," all Sample Data and Patterns stored in the P-6 will be deleted.
Please Import (Restore) it into the P-6 using the following procedure.
WHAT YOU NEED
- P-6
- USB cable
* The import (restore) is carried out with the unit and the computer connected via USB.
* You can use the USB cable that comes with the P-6.
- Computer (Windows or Mac) equipped with a USB port compliant with USB 2.0 or USB 3.0.
GETTING THE FILE
Please open/extract the downloaded "P6_SAMPLE_PATTERN.zip" file on your computer to get the "P6_SAMPLE_PATTERN" folder.
Please make sure you have unzipped the downloaded file.
PROCEDURE FOR THE Import (Restore)
Caution
- You must not rename the extracted file.
- Never turn off the P-6's power while the Import (Restore) is in progress. Otherwise the system program or the P-6 itself may be destroyed.
Import a Sample
Please import the Sample Data into your P-6 according to the following procedure.
- Connect the computer to the P-6's USB port by a USB cable.
- Hold down the [ SAMPLING ] button and turn on the power.
- Open the "P-6" drive icon on the computer.
- Copy (drag and drop) "BANK_A - BANK_D" from the "P6_SAMPLE_PATTERN" folder into the "IMPORT" folder in the "P-6" drive.
* When copying, a confirmation screen may be displayed.
- After copying is finished, eject the USB drive on the computer.
[ With Windows computer ]
Right-click on the "P-6" icon in My Computer and execute "Eject."
[ With Mac computer ]
Drag the "P-6" icon to the Trush icon in the Dock.
- Press the [ KYBD ] button to start the import process.
The message "donE" will appear on the display when the import process completes.
- Turn the P-6 power off.
- Hold down the [ SAMPLING ] button and turn on the power again.
- Open the "P-6" drive icon on the computer.
- Copy (drag and drop) "BANK_E - BANK_H" from the "P6_SAMPLE_PATTERN" folder into the "IMPORT" folder in the "P-6" drive.
* When copying, a confirmation screen may be displayed.
- After copying is finished, eject the USB drive on the computer.
[ With Windows computer ]
Right-click on the "P-6" icon in My Computer and execute "Eject."
[ With Mac computer ]
Drag the "P-6" icon to the Trush icon in the Dock.
- Press the [ KYBD ] button to start the import process.
The message "donE" will appear on the display when the import process completes.
- Turn the P-6 power off.
Please restore the Patterns into your P-6 according to the following procedure.
- Connect the computer to the P-6's USB port by a USB cable.
- Hold down the [ REC ] button and turn on the power.
- Open the "P-6" drive icon on the computer.
- Copy (drag and drop) "RESTORE" folder from the "P6_SAMPLE_PATTERN" folder into the "P-6" drive icon.
* When copying, a confirmation screen may be displayed.
- After copying is finished, eject the USB drive on the computer.
[ With Windows computer ]
Right-click on the "P-6" icon in My Computer and execute "Eject."
[ With Mac computer ]
Drag the "P-6" icon to the Trush icon in the Dock.
- Press the [ KYBD ] button to start the restore process.
The message "donE" will appear on the display when the restore process completes.
* It may take about 5 minutes for the pattern to be restored.
* You can check the progress by checking the light of the Step Buttons.
- Turn the P-6 power off.
