DR-670: Recording a Pattern

You can record your own pattern into any of 200 user memory locations. Use the following procedure to record a pattern:

1. Hold SHIFT and press PATTERN EDIT.

2. Turn the TEMPO/VALUE dial to select a pattern numbered 201 or higher.

Note: Patterns numbered less than 201 are permanent presets and cannot be re-recorded.

3. Hold SHIFT and press MEASURE and - while still holding SHIFT - turn the TEMPO/VALUE dial to select 1 or 2 measures.

4. Hold SHIFT and press BEAT and - while still holding SHIFT - turn the TEMPO/VALUE dial to select a time signature.

5. Press REC so the red light flashes.

6. Press START. The metronome begins to click at the tempo you’ve selected.

7. Play the pads. Each time the pattern loops, more notes can be recorded without erasing previous notes.

8. Press STOP when you’re finished.

9. Hold SHIFT and press PATTERN PLAY, then press START to hear your pattern.

10. Press STOP when you’re finished listening.
