A-37: Transposing the Keyboard

Tags: a-37

You can raise or lower the pitch of your playing without having to change your keyboard performance. The A-37’s Transpose feature lets you shift its pitch by pressing keys on its keyboard. When you’re setting up transposition, each key from F# to B represents one downward semitone step of transposition, while each key from C# to F represents one upward semitone step. Here's how to transpose.

1. To transpose the keyboard of the A-37, hold down TRANSPOSE so it blinks, and then press the key that’s the desired number of semitone steps below or above a C key.

2. Release the TRANSPOSE button.

3. To turn off transposition, press TRANSPOSE again to un-light it.
