UA-4FX, UA-4: SYMPTOM: Pops, Clicks and Dropouts

Pops, clicks and dropouts are often signs of a buffer size issue. Be sure to check the Audio Buffer Size setting within the UA-4FX if there are noise issues and/or dropouts. Increase the buffer size until the problem goes away. The following procedure will guide you through these steps:

Windows

  1. Select "Control Panel" from Windows' Start menu.
  2. Double-click on the  UA-4FX icon to open the  UA-4FX driver settings window.
  3. In the UA-4FX driver settings window, increase the Audio Buffer Size towards Max and then click "Apply".

Mac OS X

  1. Click on the Apple icon on the top left of the screen.
  2. Select on "System Preferences".
  3. Towards the bottom of the System Preferences window, double-click on the  UA-4FX icon to open the  UA-4FX driver settings window.
  4. In the UA-4FX driver settings window, increase the Audio Buffer Size towards Max and then click "Apply".
