GR-30: Selecting A Tone

The Roland GR-30 contains 384 Tones (sounds). You can layer (see Creating a
Layer Patch) or split (see Creating a Split Patch) any two of the 384 Tones for
each of the 256 patches.

Use the following procedure to select the 1st Tone:

1) Use the EDIT TARGET dial to select 1st TONE.
2) Use the PARAMETER SELECT dial to select [A] for TONE #.
3) Press the EDIT/PLAY button.
4) Use the [-] or [+] buttons to select a Tone while playing your guitar to
monitor your selection.
5) Use the PARAMETER SELECT dial to select 'WRITE TO' and use the [-] or [+]
buttons to select a Patch location. (Remember that this procedure will
overwrite the old Patch in this location).
6) Use the PARAMETER SELECT dial to select 'WRITE PATCH' and press the [-] and
[+] buttons simultaneously to WRITE the patch into memory.

Use the following procedure to select the 2nd TONE:

1) Use the EDIT TARGET dial to select 2nd TONE.
2) Repeat steps #2 through #6 above
