Jazz Lizzard
Recreates Harvey Mason’s punchy drum sound on “Chameleon,”a landmark jazz-fusion track from Herbie Hancock’s 1973 album Head Hunters.

Surfed Out
The iconic drum sound from the surf anthem “Wipe Out.” First released in 1963 by the Surfaris, it’s been covered by the Ventures and many other artists since.

Why Why Zed?
Challenge your chops with “YYZ,” a popular instrumental track from Rush’s 1981 album Moving Pictures. Many of the group’s live performances of this song featured mesmerizing solos by drummer Neal Peart.

Get a Cob On
Recreates the drum sound from “Red Baron” on Billy Cobham’s 1973 solo debut Spectrum. This simple grooving fusion track features a wealth of clever drum fills from Cobham.

Note: The kits in this collection have been created using the internal TD-17 instruments and editing tools combined with newly developed samples to reinforce certain drum sounds. Because the original recordings are not used within this collection, these kits should be considered as taking inspiration from the original sounds rather than being exact replicas.
