The MENU screen appears. Use the cursor buttons to select "SYSTEM". Use the cursor buttons to select "SYSTEM INFO", then press the [ENTER] button. The SYSTEM INFO - VERSION screen appears. Look at the version number on the VERSION tab. * If the latest version is shown, no update is necessary. UPDATE HISTORY [Ver.2.00] Apr 2026 Additional Functions Support for SPD-SX Backup Files You can now load individual kits and the samples associated with those kits from SPD-SX backup files. When creating a backup file on the SPD-SX, be sure to select "ALL". Backup files saved as "KIT+SETTINGS" cannot be loaded into the SPD-SX PRO. Effects and output settings cannot be loaded. For details, please refer to the Owner’s Manual. Time Stretch Function Added Two types of time stretch functions have been added: Real-Time and Offline. With Real-Time Time Stretch, the playback tempo of a wave can be synchronized to the kit click tempo (Tempo Sync). Offline Time Stretch provides high-quality processing and can be executed from [SHIFT] button + [F3] (TIME STRETCH) on the WAVE EDIT screen. To use the Tempo Sync function, the correct tempo must be set for each wave. Please set the correct tempo for each imported wave using the Tempo Detect function or manual tempo input. Even after updating the SPD-SX PRO to Ver.2.00, the factory preloaded content does not have correct tempo information assigned. To assign correct tempo values, load "SPD-SX PRO FACTORY RESTORE DATA for System Program Ver.2.00 or later". This operation restores the unit to factory settings, so be sure to back up your data beforehand. After loading, optimal tempos are set for loop phrases, and one-shot samples are uniformly set to TEMPO 120. Per-Kit Master Effect Support Master Effects can now be set individually for each kit. TRIGGER IN Mute Function Added Signals from drum triggers connected to acoustic drums (such as the RT-30K) can now be muted simply by striking a pad. This allows easy switching between hybrid drum and acoustic drum performance. This is one of the CONTROL SETUP functions. DJ Drop Mute Function Added The DJ Drop Mute function allows audio output from the SPD-SX PRO (such as backing tracks) to be temporarily muted while continuing playback in the background. When using DJ Drop Mute (Pre-FX), it is also possible to leave only the delay component of the Master Effect during muting. This is one of the CONTROL SETUP functions. Improved Usability of the OUTPUT/EFFECTS Screen Effect type names are now displayed on the OUTPUT/EFFECTS screen, and effect types can be changed directly from this screen. Sequential Numbers Added to Effect Types Sequential numbers have been added to the beginning of effect type names to make selection easier. Loop Stop Setting When Switching Kits Previously, loop phrases continued playing when switching kits. A new setting allows loop playback to stop when changing kits. (Set to "Loop ON (Mute on KitChg)" on the PAD EDIT (1/5) screen.) Kit Click Tempo Adjustment Function Added You can now increase or decrease the kit click tempo by striking a pad, allowing tempo adjustment without putting down your sticks. When used together with the Time Stretch Tempo Sync function, the amount of time stretch can be adjusted while staying synchronized to the kit click tempo. This is one of the CONTROL SETUP functions. Pad Output Mute for PHONES and MASTER OUT You can now set individual pads so that they do not output sound to PHONES or MASTER OUT. Previously, sound was always output to PHONES. This is useful when you want to output sound only to DIRECT OUT, or when using a kick pad as a control signal for sidechain processing and do not want its sound sent to PHONES or MASTER OUT. (Set OUTPUT to "OFF" on the OUTPUT/EFFECTS screen or the OUTPUT ASSIGN - PAD OUTPUT screen.) Panel LED Brightness Adjustment The brightness of the control panel LEDs can now be adjusted (Panel Brightness function). MIDI Indicator Display Added MIDI IN/OUT indicators have been added to the KIT screen and MIDI-related screens. Background Image Support for the KIT Screen You can now set a custom image as the background of the KIT screen (when [F1](PAD VIEW) is OFF). KIT LIST Display Support The [F3](KIT LIST) can now be displayed on the KIT screen. Batch Parameter Setting Support Parameter values can now be copied to multiple pads at once (On the PAD EDIT screen, press [SHIFT] button + [F4] (SET ALL).). Expanded Copy Functions The following items have been added as copy targets: EFFECTS, PAD DIRECT OUT, TRIG IN SETTINGS, and SET LIST. Automatic Backup Name Recall The last used Backup Name is now automatically remembered (BACKUP -> SAVE). Set List Display State Memory The on/off state of the Set List display is now remembered when the power is turned off. New Shortcut Added Pressing the [START/STOP] button while holding the [SHIFT] button now opens the KIT CLICK screen. Velocity Display Added to PAD EDIT (1/5) - Layer Type Graph Velocity values are now displayed next to the graph to make setting Fade Point and Fade End for layers easier. New Trig Types Added The following Trig Types have been added. In addition, pressing the [ENTER] button while the cursor is on Trig Type now opens a list for easier selection and improved searchability. "KD-22", "KD-222", "KD-20", "KD-18", "KD-180L", "KD-12", "KDQ-8", "PDA120", "PDA100", "PDA140F", "PD-12X", "PD-12P", "PD-10X", "PD-10P", "PD-10H", "PD-8H", "PDQ-8S", "PDQ-8", "CY-14R-T", "CY-12C-T", "CYQ-12" New Functions Added to Optimize Wireless Connections (DrumLink) for DWe and WT-10 RF Scan function: Scans the radio wave conditions around the drum kit in use and automatically sets the optimal channel. Alert function: Detects the surrounding radio interference, and when interference occurs, displays a notification on the display recommending a channel change. * To use the RF Scan and RF Alert functions, please update the DrumLink Hub using the PC application "DWe Control" Ver.1.7.0 or later. Support for SPD-SX PRO App Ver.2.00 The SPD-SX PRO App Ver.2.00 is now supported. New features include AUTO SELECT, which automatically selects the assigned sample in the WAVE LIST when clicking a pad layer, and a WRITE button that allows parameters to be written without turning off the unit. Change the specification The specification that allowed the KIT screen display to cycle using the left and right buttons has been discontinued. "Pad Progress Type," previously located on [F3] of the KIT screen, has been moved to SYSTEM -> OPTION -> [F4] (UI CUSTOM). Bug Fix Other minor bugs have been fixed.
