The DW Collector’s Series Santa Monica Maple kit delivers the original 1990s sound and character that made Drum Workshop a drummer’s favorite around the world. These drums feature shells handcrafted from six plies of maple and shallow tom depths. Due to the thicker wood plies, the pitch is slightly higher with an upfront, punchy attack, a focused, warm tone, and balanced resonance. In addition to the standard maple snare, there’s a DW Chrome-Over-Steel snare to complement the authentic Santa Monica Maple sound.

About V-Drums Instrument Expansions

V-Drums Instrument Expansions allow you to add new sounds to the V71, V51, and V31 modules, including complete multi-sampled acoustic drum sets, vintage and modern electronic sounds, and more. Each title provides finely tuned kits that are ready to play with no adjustment necessary. You can freely mix and match drums with the module’s onboard sound library and other installed expansions to create customized kits. It’s also possible to use the module’s deep V-Edit tools to personalize sounds to your liking.

V-Drums Instrument Expansion titles are available with Roland Cloud Ultimate or Pro memberships or a Lifetime Key purchase. Use the Roland Cloud Connect app on your mobile device to wirelessly download a collection directly to the module. Or open Roland Cloud Manager on your computer to download the installer, then transfer it to an SD card for installation via the module’s card slot.
