Sadaharu Yagi is a Los Angeles-based producer, mixer, and recording engineer. He’s won multiple Grammy Awards and has credits that include Draco Rosa, Shania Twain, Joanna Newsom, John Mayall, and many others. While known primarily for record production, his work also spans cultural and environmental initiatives. For this signature collection, Yagi has meticulously captured a Slingerland Radio King drum set at The Steakhouse Recording Studio in Los Angeles, California. The sound has been crafted to be warm yet tight and sharp, allowing the kit’s depth and unique character to shine through without compromise.

Each title provides finely tuned kits that are ready to play with no adjustment necessary. You can freely mix and match drums with the module’s onboard sound library and other installed expansions to create customized kits. It’s also possible to use the module’s deep V-Edit tools to personalize sounds to your liking.

V-Drums Instrument Expansion titles are available with Roland Cloud Ultimate or Pro memberships or a Lifetime Key purchase. Use the Roland Cloud Connect app on your mobile device to wirelessly download a collection directly to the module. Or open Roland Cloud Manager on your computer to download the installer, then transfer it to an SD card for installation via the module’s card slot.
