EDIROL FA-66 Driver Ver.1.0.0 for Windows 8 / 8.1 32-bit Edition

This is the EDIROL FA-66 driver for Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 8 / 8.1 32-bit Edition.

This is the EDIROL FA-66 driver for Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 8 / 8.1 32-bit Edition.
This driver also supports ASIO (Steinberg Audio Stream I/O Interface) 2.0.

This driver does not work with "Cakewalk FA-66."
This driver is equivalent to the "Cakewalk FA-66 Driver Ver.1.0.0 for Windows(R) 8 / 8.1 32-bit Edition."


Software Installation
[ When the message about Windows SmartScreen is displayed ]
When the message about Windows SmartScreen is displayed on installing or executing a software, please perform the following procedures.
  1. Click the [ More info ].
  2. Click the [ Run anyway ].
* If your PC does not be connected to the Internet, Step.1 will be skipped.


CAUTION
If the sample rate of FA-66 is changed in Windows 8.1, playing and recording sounds with media player or system sounds via WASAPI, MME, or DirectSound cannot be executed.
In such a case, configure the settings as follows. (Playing and recording sounds via ASIO can be executed.)

  1. Open [Control Panel]. Click [Hardware and Sound] and [Sound].
    * When the control panel is displayed with icon view, click [Sound].
  2. Select [FA-66 OUT 1] in [Playback] and click the [Properties] button.
  3. Open the [Advanced] tab.
  4. Select a bit rate which is not currently selected in [Default Format] and click the [OK] button.
  5. Repeat Procedure 2 to 4 for [FA-66 OUT 2] and [FA-66 OUT 3] in [Playback] as well.
  6. Select [FA-66 IN 1] in [Recording] and click the [Properties] button.
  7. Open the [Advanced] tab.
  8. Select a bit rate which is not currently selected in [Default Format] and click the [OK] button.
  9. Repeat Procedure 6 to 8 for [FA-66 OUT 2] and [FA-66 OUT 3] in [Recording] as well.


System requirements
This driver has the following requirements.

Operating System
Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 8 / 8.1 32-bit Edition
* This does not work with the 64-bit Edition of Windows 8.
* This driver will not work on Windows RT.
Computer
A computer equipped with an FireWire(R)(IEEE1394) Port.
* FireWire(R)(IEEE1394) control chip from TI(Texas Instruments) is recommended.

* This driver cannot be used in a virtual Windows environment, such as Hyper-V or Virtual PC.
* Mac computers running Microsoft Windows are not supported.
