Q.How can I see that the UM-1X/UM-1SX has been successfully installed on my Mac OS X computer?

A.Use the following procedure to confirm the UM-1X/UM-1SX has been successfully installed on your computer.

  1. Make sure that the UM-1X/UM-1SX's [ADVANCED DRIVER] switch is on, and connect the UM-1X/UM-1SX to the Macintosh's USB connector.
    If you are going to use a USB hub for connection, temporarily connect it to a USB connector of your computer.
  2. Click [Applications]-> [Utility]-> [Audio MIDI Settings] to open.
  3. Click [MIDI Devices] tab to see if the "EDIROL UM-1" icon is displayed.

    If "EDIROL UM-1" appears here, it means that the UM-1X/UM-1SX has been successfully installed.
    If "EDIROL UM-1" is not shown, please reinstall
    EDIROL UM-1 Driver Ver.1.1.1 for Mac OS X
    which is the latest version of the UM-1 driver.

* Uninstalling the previously installed driver is not required. Simply install the new version over the old version.
