Q.When recording audio from a turntable into my Edirol Audio Interface, the signal is very low. Why is this?

A.Check to see if your turntable has a phono preamp.

You cannot record directly from a turntable without a phono preamp. To amplify the signal, connect your turntable to a stereo receiver’s “Phono Input” and connect the Stereo Receiver’s “Tape Output” to your Edirol Audio Interface. This will amplify the signal to a level usable by your Edirol Audio Interface.

NOTE: The UA-700 is equipped with a phono equalizer.
