Q.If the computer to which I'm connecting the UA-101 has no USB connector, can I install a USB 2.0 interface card (for either card bus (PCMCIA) or PCI bus) and connect the UA-101 to it?

A.We have found that there are many compatible USB2.0 PCI cards, but have found that some PCMCIA add-on cards do not operate at the required speed to maintain full performance of the UA-101. Therefore, we suggest using PCI add-on cards as a more reliable means of adding USB2.0 to your existing computer.

Note:
We recommend that you use a PCI bus interface card that incorporates an NEC Enhanced Host Controller.
Important note:
This FAQ does not guarantee that all USB 2.0 interface cards for PCI bus will operate correctly with the UA-101.
