Q.If I use the TU-2 in my guitar signal chain, will it cause noise or degradation of the guitar signal?

A.No. The TU-2's output electronics (both the OUTPUT and BYPASS jacks) incorporate buffer circuits that transform the impedance of your guitar output from high to low. This eliminates noise and guitar signal degradation, especially over long cable runs.
