Q.Which Roland hi-hat control pedals are compatible with the TD-3 sound module? What playing techniques can I perform using the hi-hat control pedal?

A.The FD-8, FD-7,and FD-6 pedals are compatible with the TD-3.

The following playing techniques are available using the hi-hat control pedal:

  • Open hi-hat:
    Strike the hi-hat pad without pressing the pedal.
  • Half-open hi-hat:
    Strike the hi-hat pad with the pedal half-pressed.
  • Closed hi-hat:
    Strike the hi-hat pad with the pedal fully pressed.
  • Foot close:
    Press the pedal to sound the hi-hat.
