Q.The SP-404 is equipped with an internal mic for sampling. Is it possible to connect an external mic and use it for sampling? Can I use a stereo mic in this case?

A.The SP-404 provides a MIC IN jack (phone type) on its front panel. You can connect a monaural external mic to this jack. You cannot connect a stereo mic.

    Note:
  • The internal mic is muted when an external mic is connected to the MIC IN jack.
    Tips:
  • If you’d like to use an external stereo mic to sample in stereo on the SP-404, route the mic through an external stereo mixer and connect its outputs to the SP-404's LINE IN (L/R) jacks.
