Q.On the SP-404 / SP-303, can I change the length of a sample while maintaining the original pitch?

A.Yes. The Time Modify function allows you to change the length of a sample while maintaining the original pitch. This is useful when you want to change the tempo of a song without changing its key.

    Notes:
  1. The sample length is shown as “beats per minute” (BPM). The sample’s BPM can be adjusted over a range of one-half to approximately 1.3 times the original BPM. However, the BPM must stay within a range of 40-200.
  2. Extreme alteration of a sample’s BPM setting may cause sound deterioration or noise.
