Q.What can be done when the RD-700SX is connected to a PC via USB?

A.The following can be done when the RD-700SX is connected to a PC via USB:

  1. Transfer of Standard MIDI File (SMF) data from the PC to the RD-700SX’s memory, so that it can be played using the RD-700SX’s onboard SMF player.
  2. Backup (save) files retained in the RD-700SX’s user memory to the PC’s hard disk and other memory media.
  3. Receive and playback MIDI data from the PC.
  4. Play a software synthesizer on the PC using the RD-700SX’s keyboard.
  5. Record a keyboard performance played on the RD-700SX in MIDI sequencing software running on the PC.
