Q.The sound from a CD or MD player connected to the AUX IN jack on my ME-series multieffects unit is either inaudible or very low in volume. Why is this?

A.First, make sure that the volume of the CD or MD player is turned up. Also, try different connecting cables to verify that you don't have a bad cable.

Is it possible that you're using a cable with a built-in resistor? You shouldn't use a cable with a built-in resistor to connect your CD/MD player, etc. to the AUX IN jack, as this can cause the volume to be so low as to be inaudible.
