Q.Does the GT-8 have new overdrive/distortion effects that are not available on the GT-6?

A.The GT-8 provides 15 new overdrive/distortion effects that are not available on the GT-6. This boosts the total number of overdrive/distortion effects to 33 (including three custom settings), giving you a large variety to choose from.

Following is a list of the GT-8's new overdrive/distortion effects along with descriptions of their sound characteristics.

  • Crunch ：A robust crunch sound that adds the character of a distorted amp.
  • Natural OD ：Overdrive sound that produces a natural distortion.
  • Fat OD ：Overdrive sound with a distinctive mid-range.
  • Warm OD ：Overdrive sound with a distinctive mid-range.
  • Mild DS ：Mild distortion sound.
  • Drive DS ：Powerful distortion sound.
  • Solid DS ：Distortion sound with an edge.
  • Mid DS ：Distortion sound with boosted mid range.
  • Stack ：Thick sound with the distortion of an amp stack.
  • Modern DS ：The sound of a large high-gain amp.
  • Power DS ：The sound of an overdrive and an amp stack.
  • Lead ：A sound that delivers both smooth overdrive and deep distortion.
  • Loud ：Distortion sound with a boosted low range.
  • Sharp ：Distortion sound with a boosted high range.
  • Mechanical ：Mechanical-sounding distortion with boosted low and high ranges.
