Yes, you can select patches on the GR-20 even while playing your guitar.

On the guitar, you can use the GK-3 controller's DOWN/S1 and UP/S2 switches to quickly select sounds. If desired, you can set up the foot switches on the GR-20 to increment and decrement through the patches. (If you want to cycle through patches in a specific order, simply write them to user patch locations in the desired order.)
