Q.Can the Fantom-Xa send and receive MIDI messages and audio files to and from a computer through USB?

A.Yes, the Fantom-Xa can communicate with a USB-equipped computer via a USB cable.
The Fantom-Xa has two different USB communication modes:

When the USB mode is set to “MIDI”
you can send and receive MIDI messages between the Fantom-Xa and the computer.
This requires that you install the USB driver (included on the CD-ROM
that came with the Fantom-Xa) on the computer.

When the USB mode is set to “STORAGE”
you can save and recover audio files and standard MIDI files (SMF)
to and from the computer.

Note:
The Fantom-Xa is not equipped with realtime USB audio in/out functionality
like that found in the Edirol UA series.
