Q.Can I monitor a monaural source in both the left and right channel while using Direct Monitoring on the FA-101 / FA-66 / UA-101 / UA-25?

Yes, you can. There is a dedicated switch to control this. The settings are as follows:

Monaural setting:

Turn the [MONO] button (located above the DIRECT MONITOR knob) “ON” (set inward), if you want to monitor a monoaural source in both the left and right channels.

Note:
The “MONO” setting affects only the monitor output. Your recording is not affected by this setting.

Stereo setting:
Turn the [MONO] button (located above the DIRECT MONITOR knob) “OFF” (set outward).
