Q.I would like to use the DR-880 as a backing machine, and I’d like to connect my guitar or bass directly to it. Does the DR-880 incorporate a built-in multi-effect with amp modeling for guitars and basses?

with special algorithms designed for electric guitar, bass, and acoustic guitar.
The electric guitar and bass algorithms feature COSM AMP technology.
There’s even a convenient built-in chromatic tuner, as well.

Just plug your instrument into the dedicated front panel GUITAR/BASS INPUT jack,
and you can enjoy high-quality multi-effect processing
while you play along with the DR-880’s backing rhythms.

You can choose from 50 preset patches and 50 user patches. Here is a list of available effects in each of the multi-effect algorithms:
