Q.What can I do with the DR-880 using USB?

A.When you use a USB cable to connect the DR-880’s USB connector
to a USB-equipped computer, the following functions are available:

SMF import:
You can import Standard MIDI Files (SMF) from a computer
and use them to create new patterns.

Data backup and recovery:
You save and recover DR-880 user data to and from a computer.

MIDI communication:
You can send and receive MIDI messages between the DR-880 and the computer.
This requires that you install the USB MIDI driver
(included on the CD-ROM that came with the DR-880) on the computer.
