A.Yes. The DR-880’s key pads respond to your playing dynamics,
generating differences in the loudness and tone color of the drum sounds.
This adds to the expressiveness of your rhythm performances.

Your playing dynamics are also captured when you record a pattern
(the DR-880 captures the dynamics of the key pad strikes as MIDI velocity values).
