Q.Is overdub recording possible on the CD-2? For example, can I mix the microphone input with the playback of a previously recorded track and record the combined result on a new track?

A.Yes, you can.
The CD-2 provides "overdubbing" functionality that allows you to mix the microphone or guitar input and the line inputs along with the playback of a previously recorded song on a CompactFlash card and record the combined result to another track on the CompactFlash card.

The following diagram shows the track configuration for overdubbing.
