Items Required for Updating
Updating the system program requires the following items.
- PR-1000HD update file (Updater.bin)
- USB memory device (larger than 64 MB) or CD-R/RW
- Computer
System Update Procedure
When Using a USB Memory Device
- Switch on the power to the PR-1000HD, and click the System Preferences button in the Selector. The System Preferences dialog box appears.
- Note down the settings on paper if you need.
- Click the Factory Reset button. The various settings are reset to their factory defaults.
- Follow the on-screen messages to restart the PR-1000HD.
- Use the computer to copy the PR-1000HD update file (Updater.bin) to the root directory of the USB memory device.
- Connect the USB memory device to a USB connector at the front or rear. After the unit restarts several times, the updater automatically starts.
* If the updater fails to start, click the power-off button to switch off the power, then switch the power on again.
- After the updater starts, follow the on-screen instructions to carry out the update.
When Using a CD-R/RW
- Switch on the power to the PR-1000HD, and click the System Preferences button in the Selector. The System Preferences dialog box appears.
- Note down the settings on paper if you need.
- Click the Factory Reset button. The various settings are reset to their factory defaults.
- Follow the on-screen messages to restart the PR-1000HD.
- Use the computer to write the PR-1000HD update file (Updater.bin) to the root directory of the CD-R/RW.
- Place the CD-R/RW in the DVD/CD-ROM drive. After the unit restarts several times, the updater automatically starts.
* If the updater fails to start, click the power-off button to switch off the power, then switch the power on again.
- After the updater starts, follow the on-screen instructions to carry out the update.
