I'm using multiple FS-6/FS-5L/FS-5U/AB-2 foot switches to control various units. Is there a way that I can join the foot switches together to create a single unit?

Foot switches such as the BOSS FS-5L / FS-5U are available in "latched" and "unlatched" types. What is the difference between the two?

I have a Roland/BOSS product that specifies the use of a BOSS FS-5U (unlatched-type) foot switch. Is it possible to use a BOSS FS-5L (latched-type) foot switch instead?
