The XV-5050 may be small in size, but it’s big on sound. Look inside and you’ll find the same powerful synth architecture used in the acclaimed XV-5080— complete with four stereo Tones per patch and expressive Matrix Control. You get all the patches of the -5080, plus a selection of sounds from Roland’s Fantom* workstation and more. And with two slots for optional SRX-Series Wave Expansion Boards, up to 192MB of first-class sounds can be accessed instantly.
In addition to amazing sounds, the XV-5050 includes three independent effects processors loaded with some of Roland’s finest effects. There’s everything from 24-bit reverb to silky-smooth chorus, plus 90 multi- effects including COSM Guitar Amp Modeling. All three effects processors are available in Patch or Performance mode, enabling you to create lush multitimbral sequences. And with 24-bit converters and digital outputs in S/P DIF and optical formats, your music will be reproduced with the utmost clarity and detail.
If you make music on a PC, you’ll appreciate the XV-5050’s front panel USB port. Just load the USB driver from the included CD-ROM and suddenly MIDI cables are a thing of the past. (Of course, the XV-5050 is equipped with standard MIDI connections as well). Now desktop musicians can add Roland’s powerful XV-Series sounds and effects to their music with the simplicity of USB! With its compact size and digital outputs, the XV-5050 is the perfect addition to any modern musician’s studio.
