Installing EDIROL PCR Editor Microsoft (R) Windows Vista (TM)

PCR Editor is software that lets you use your computer to create control maps for the PCR series (PCR-1/M1/30/A30/M30/50/M50/80/M80).

[Note]

The PCR Editor programs themselves are provided on the CD-ROM included with your product.

[Installation]

Install the software as follows.

* Before you carry out the following steps, you must log on to Windows as a user whose account type is Administrator.

1. Close all currently running software (applications).
2. In the [EDITOR] folder of the PCR CD-ROM, right-click "PcrEditor (PcrEditor.exe)". From the menu that appears, choose [Properties].
3. Click the [Compatibility] tab, the window of compatibility opens.
4. Check the [Run this program in compatibility mode for:] in the colum of [Compatibility mode]
5. In the "Compatibility mode" list, select "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)."
6. Click [OK], close the property.
7. Double-click "PcrEditor (PcrEditor.exe)".
8. "An unidentified program wants access to your computer" will appear click [allow].
9. The installer will start up. When the "PCR Editor Setup" screen appears, click [Next].
10. A screen will indicate "Please read the following license agreement carefully." Read the license agreement, and if you accept the terms, click [Yes]. If you click [No], the installation will be terminated.
11. The "Choose Destination Location" screen will appear. If you accept the default location, click [Next].
If you want to change the installation destination, click [Browse] and specify the desired folder.
12. In the "Confirmation of installation" screen, verify that the settings shown are correct, and click [Next]. If you decide to specify a different installation location, click [Back].
13. When the files have been copied, the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen will appear. Click [Finish].

This completes installation of PCR Editor.

[Usage]
In Windows, choose [start].[All Programs].[PCR Editor].
[PCR Editor].
Refer to the online help for an explanation of PCR Editor's functions.

[Uninstallation]

* In order to uninstall software, you must log on to Windows as a user who has administrative privileges.

1. Click the Windows Start button, then click Control Panel.
2. In "Programs," click "Uninstall a program."
3. In the "Uninstall or change a program" list, click "PCR Editor."
4. Click [Uninstall].
5. When the "Windows needs your permission to continue" screen appears, click [Continue].
6. Follow the on-screen directions to uninstall the software.
