V-Guitar Amplifier
The VGA-3 V-Guitar Amplifier puts Roland's most sought-after guitar and amp models in a compact digital amp at a very friendly price. This 50-watt brute uses COSM modeling to deliver a stunning range of electric and acoustic guitar models—plus unique GK effects—from any GK pickup-equipped guitar. There are also 11 programmable COSM amp models and three independent effect processors that can be accessed using any standard electric guitar.
* Requires optional GK-2A Divided Pickup.

Unlike all other digital modeling amps, the VGA-3 can actually model guitars using any standard electric equipped with the optional GK-2A Divided Pickup. There are six COSM guitar models to choose from including electrics, acoustic and 12-string guitar—even guitar synth and electric sitar sounds! The divided pickup also allows the VGA-3 to deliver cool polyphonic octave and polyphonic Slow Gear effects that simply can't be had on other modeling amps.
The VGA-3's amp modeling section is loaded with 11 of the finest COSM amp models available—from combos like JC Clean, American Clean, Tweed, British and Modern to stacks like Classic I, Classic I+II, R-Fier, Modern and Metal. There's even an acoustic guitar simulator capable of turning any electric into an acoustic without the miking hassles. All of the VGA-3's amp models have been tweaked to perfection to give you superb tone every time.
Topping off the VGA-3's COSM models are three independent effects processors with high-quality Roland/BOSS algorithms. The reverb processor's smooth sounds—including new spring reverb emulation—can be adjusted via a dedicated knob; the delay processor's three varieties of delay (including doubling) can also be quickly adjusted with a knob. The VGA-3's EFX processor handles chorus, flanger, phaser and tremolo effects, while ten digital memories make it easy to store and recall your settings.
Tuning your guitar is easy with the VGA-3's built-in chromatic tuner. Just follow the LEDs and you'll be ready to go in no time. A convenient Auxiliary input lets you play along with external sound sources like a drum machine or CD player—great for practicing at home. And when you're in the studio, just use the Headphone/REC output for easy direct recording.
