USB 2.0, with a high data transfer speed of 480 Mbps, is over 40 times faster than the previous USB 1.1. Smooth data transfer even during multi-channel, simultaneous recording and playback.

Capable of simultaneous recording and playback over ten independent channels when using 24-bit, 96 kHz audio signals. With 40-bit internal processing, signal processing is of the highest grade.

Equipped with the same, quiet, high quality mic preamps used in much more expensive recording units, such as the Roland VS-2480 Digital Studio Workstation.

Comes with four separate inputs on front panel (standard XLR/TRS, Hi-Z compatible). A S/P DIF digital I/O (optical/coaxial) and eight separate input and output jacks come standard on the rear panel. 4 x Inserts I/O for effects sends and returns.

Supports ADAT format 8-channel I/Os. Data transfer between a computer and ADAT or a digital mixer is possible using only the optical interface connection.
