Stunning Piano Sound

The RG-3 is equipped with Roland’s finest 88-note concert grand sound, featuring individual multisamples for every key. It’s touch responsive to the subtlest pressure and nuance — from the deepest, most powerful bass to the most delicate high notes.

Authentic Grand-Piano Feel

For the most authentic acoustic grand piano feel, the RG-3 incorporates Roland’s PHA II “Ivory Feel” keyboard with Escapement. This amazing new keyboard technology reproduces the real feel of ivory for the natural keys and ebony for the sharps. It also offers the same natural response as a grand piano, with a heavier touch in the lower range and lighter touch in the upper, and with lighter resistance on pianissimo passages and stronger resistance on fortissimo just like a well-maintained acoustic grand. It even faithfully reproduces the escapement “click feel” of a grand-piano action.

Built-In Speaker System

The RG-3 delivers a rich, realistic acoustic grand piano sound with its onboard 4-speaker sound system. Volume issues are a thing of the past; you can simply adjust the volume of the internal sound system up or down to suit the environment. If you wish to practice in private, the RG-3 offers a headphone output as well.

Song-Playback Features

The RG-3 can play songs by itself* — ideal for parties and gatherings. Simply import a Standard MIDI File via USB and enjoy as the RG-3 plays the music automatically. Whether in a lounge or living room, hotel or concert hall, the RG-3 will bring any environment to life.

Handy Remote Control

Control the mood and ambience with the RG-3’s remote control (included). You can start or stop the music, choose songs, and adjust the volume from a distance.

Slideshow display can inform and attract customers

Using the RG-3’s built-in USB port, you can import your very own slideshow and display it on an external screen. Show your menu, or a list of scheduled events, or a preview of coming attractions — or anything that you want to broadcast visually to your customers. This feature can be a subtle but very powerful and effective advertising medium for you.

*Note: While the RG-3 can play songs automatically, it does not have the player-piano-type “moving keys” feature or built-in CD-drive of the RG-7.
